Used to modify instance data for existing datagroup catalog items, instances, properties and values associated with graphic elements. Modified catalog data is updated in the Schedules reporting utility.

When a building component is selected for instance data modification, the following action takes place:

• If the selected item is not associated with an application catalog type, the Modify Instance Data dialog opens.
• If the selected item is associated with an application catalog type, the modify dialog for the selected item opens. For example, if a door is selected, the Modify Door dialog opens.
• If the selected item is part of an active selection set, the Select Building Component dialog opens.
